M1Strong: Strength Driven by Science
Our Philosophy
The body is a very complex machine. When we think of what it means to be in shape, fit, or to compete at the highest level of sport, we understand that there is not one single approach to training. It is extremely important for us to understand the needs of the individuals we work with in order to apply the best muscle skeletal patterns and implement body-wide protocols to alleviate compensatory patterns of strength, mobility and neuromuscular control.
Through our training approach we are recognizing the anatomical links within the body to create a well balanced and progressive training strategy. When there is a balance of strength, mobility and movement control, the body starts to work together to create the proper movement patterns that lead to long-term health, increased sports performance, injury prevention and a safer and more effective way of reaching your fitness goals.
PRINCIPLES:
1) The Body is a Unit. The body is considered a whole. Each part affects each and every other part.
2) Structure Governs Function. If the structure of the body is compromised then it is very likely to have an adverse affect on function.
3) The body is it’s own “Medicine Chest”. Every person has their own built in healing mechanisms which can be stimulated & supported by removing restrictive barriers.
4) The rule of Artery is Supreme. For healing to occur there needs to be good enough blood supply to provide the troubled area with the necessary immune cells & nutrients.
